Résumé de la thèse
L’objectif principal de cette recherche est de disséquer les multiples segments de la cour élamite (vers 1000-550 avant notre ère). Au-delà d’une simple liste de grades officiels existant dans un système hiérarchique et de leur examen d’un point de vue linguistique, tous ces grades, dans la mesure du possible, seront étudiés en tant qu’éléments des réseaux et des strates politiques, historiques, sociales et symboliques de la cour élamite. Ce travail impliquera nécessairement un travail lexical plus approfondi afin de parvenir à des interprétations plus cohérentes des données disponibles. Il nécessitera l’étude des inscriptions royales et administratives élamites et des données non écrites, notamment sous la forme de reliefs rocheux et de témoignages architecturaux, en particulier pour faire contrepoids aux témoignages mésopotamiens. Cette thèse n’est qu’une pièce d’un puzzle beaucoup plus vaste et complexe, celui de l’exercice de l’autorité à la cour élamite. La question centrale n’est pas de savoir comment l’État élamite s’est comporté, mais comment le tribunal élamite a fonctionné. La recherche proposée est donc résolument apolitique et se concentre sur les structures et les développements à long terme plutôt que sur les changements à court terme et l’histoire événementielle.
